East Durham Local Strategic Partnership Television (LSPTV) Case Study
In 2003 Easington Community Safety Partnership appointed CCN Ltd to develop a bespoke public information system. The purpose was to raise public awareness of the CSP, disseminate information about the partnerships work and achievements and, provide a reactive capacity for appealing for information. Following a successful evaluation by Evidence Led Solutions the LSP expanded the original 10 screen system to 40 screens in 2004 adding the thematic areas of health, education, housing & environment and economy to the original community safety theme.
A second independent evaluation study in November 2004 supported by local studies conducted in 2005 highlighted the success of the system in raising awareness of partnership work, disseminating educational information, signposting to services and increasing service uptake.
The system, which is delivered by CCN Ltd has since been developed and adopted by 19 partnerships across England , Wales , Scotland and Ireland .
